Rebuild this famous tank from scrap metal in Goa
Nobody has ever done this before
Valentino
Santoro, young sculptor and tank enthusiast, dreams big: He wants to rebuild
the Panther Ausf. A.
Although many tanks have been rebuilt since World War
II, nobody has ever attempted to craft a realistic replica of a Panther. This
tank was considered to be one of the best of World War II, the pinnacle of
German engineering. Around 7,500 Panthers were built; only around 20 survived
worldwide, seven of them in running condition. This tank is 6.87 metres long,
3.27 metres wide and 2.99 metres high.
Building a panther tank that runs and shoots is an
ambitious plan. It requires careful research, modifying of blueprints for using
recycled scrap metal, space, welders and of course money.
Because this is worldwide the first attempt, huge media coverage is guaranteed. This project
could show off Goan ingenuity, resourcefulness and
originality. Rebuilding a big tank from scrap metal would demonstrate
what could be done with recycled materials.
The
finished Panther replica could turn into a profitable
asset by hiring it out for movie projects worldwide. On show in Goa it
would be a unique attraction for tourists.
